  • When you're being investigated for your role, you can't sit on the Committee. But you knew that, so this is just daring them to pull the trigger so you can claim it's reprisal.

He obviously didn't care about it when he was willing to disregard the election and hopefully install a dictator, so good for Nancy for tossing him to the curb.

Just goes to show you can serve the country and still be a steaming pile of sh*t.
  • So he wants everyone to know that he swore an oath to support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and then he betrayed that oath?

    Weird flex, but okay.
  • Yes, I remember all the fervor when we didn't invite Al Qaeda to participate in the 9/11 Commission...
  • "But it just goes to show all along this was never a serious effort on their part, it's all a political witch hunt. They want to make this all about Donald Trump, dragging Republican members of Congress through the mud and attacking 75 million people that voted for Donald Trump."

Tell me about Benghazi, you clown.
  • ...she is saying that I'm not up to playing a serious role on this Jan. 6 committee,

No, she is saying you will play a serious role - disrupting liar.  You know, the GOP's usual role.

This is kinda blowing up in McCarthy's face because EVERYONE is pointing out that the dems OFFERED an independent, bipartisan 9/11-style Commission and the GOP refused, so they can't now whine about the Dems "politicizing" this
  • A separate GOP panel? Believe we all know what's going to happen from that....

GOP: "nothing happened on January 6th except for a number of peaceful patriots who visited the capitol with the only intention of saying they felt the election was not conducted fairly. These patriots are being targeted by America hating Democrats who only want their to be chaos instead of enjoying the peace and prosperity we Republicans can only provide."
  • If you don't invite him to be a part of the committee, that will only embolden Republicans not to work in a bipartisan fashion with Democrats.

While I certainly do blame anyone who voted for Trump, I do draw a distinction between that (which is perfectly legal), and attacking the Capitol in an attempt to overturn the result of a fair and free election (which should be as illegal as it gets).

Trumpers were the sorest winners even, so the fact that they are even sorer losers should shock no one.

Benedict Arnold served our nation in war, too, and it's arguable that without him the Revolutionary War would've failed and we'd be British subject colonies to this very day.

But he still committed treason afterwards.
  • look into potential shortcomings that could reflect poorly on the speaker, with Republicans questioning whether she played a role in delaying the deployment of the National Guard that day.

By all means, keep barking up the tree that delaying the National Guard response was a crime worthy of investigation. We'll make sure to act surprised when Trump falls out.
  • Weatherkiss: If you don't invite him to be a part of the committee, that will only embolden Republicans not to work in a bipartisan fashion with Democrats.

Frankly, who gives a fu*k what the Republicans want to think.

They obviously don't give a damn about the nation anymore, so why don't we just continue to marginalize the bastards.

The Base™ is going nuts on the web that "Piglosi" and Xio Xiden are evilly not allowing these PATRIOTS to be on the committee and that it PROVES this is a witch hunt etc..   This might sway a few moderates, but the majority of the death cult think McCarthy and Jordan are the victims here.
  • FTFA:
Banks alleged that Pelosi and Democrats on the committee are hesitant to look into potential shortcomings that could reflect poorly on the speaker, with Republicans questioning whether she played a role in delaying the deployment of the National Guard that day.

"When I came out of the gate, the minute that Kevin McCarthy asked me to do this job and I rolled up my sleeves and started digging into the real questions that nobody's asked, that Democrats don't want to answer to on why the Capitol was vulnerable on Jan. 6 when we had real intelligence three weeks before and we didn't do anything to prepare for it," he said.

It's amazing that so many people - and in particular so many journalists - still persist in clinging to the "bipartisan" double standard despite "conservatives" so blatantly telling on themselves and their bad faith intentions. And assist in this fiction by continuing to repeat, disseminate, and accept at face value these cynically dishonest attacks.

The DC National Guard is under the complete and total authority of the President of the United States. On January 6th that was still Donald Trump (R), not Nancy Pelosi (D). In fact, to date Nancy Pelosi has still not become POTUS, and has never held authority over the DC NG.

But they are making this in to their line of attack because they only know bad faith, and the press just keeps helping them.
  • Jim Jordan looks like he stinks. Not just in a figurative way, though I am sure he does, but that he gives off an actual stink. One of a generation of GOP politicians and 'pundits' that history is going to savagely judge. Which is small consolation regarding a man who enabled boys to be raped.

After being screwed over by the nascent American government.  Not to say he didn't do anything wrong, but outside of General Washington, the rest of the founding fathers treated him like complete sh*t.

Completely different case, as up until getting screwed over, he was willing to fight (and almost die) to make sure that the nation would exist.

That's odd. Republicans are eager to work in a bipartisan fashion with the National Socialists.
  • "Jan. 6 answers via GOP panel"

This is like russia, after the Chernobyl series aired, declared after supposedly re-evaluating their own records, that the disaster in fact happened due to American saboteur agents and not to the gloriousness of communism.

    You Forgot;

Also, it's clear to Us that Nancy Pelosi completely failed to gather the intelligence necessary to warn of this terrible threat or deploy the Capitol Police and National Guard to keep these chambers safe fro those eaceful fun-loving tourists, in what can only be seen as an utter failure of leadership demanding her immediate resignation

"All of the violence that the MSMLamestream Media is showing you was done by Antifa and BLM under direct orders from Nancy Pelosi which we will prove when we subpoena the leaders of Antifa and BLM.  Also the FBI.  Them too."
  • Did he openly admit to being a democracy hating treason weasel?

I served my country in Afghanistan

Oh fark off, Jim. Having served in the military is not a free pass for all your lying, Trump coup supporting, authoritarian bullshiat.

Banks proves that not everyone who's ever put on a uniform is a respectable defender of our country. A great many are, but like any other sufficiently large group of people, some, like Congressman Jim Banks, are garbage.
