The show is so much better than the comics. Garth Ennis comes up with good ideas, then pisses, masturbates, shiats, and pukes on them before publishing them.

Also, it's a super laser baby, you can hold em like that just fine.

That's the best description of Ennis' stuff I think I've ever read.

He just can't resist going for maximum "I'm a teenage boy that desperately wants to get your attention by grossing out out and offending you in ever way possible, but in the most cliche and stupid and boring way".

    He's a hack.

The TV version of "The Boys" is better in every way. And it ain't all that great, either, honestly. It's fun, but they need to wrap it up. The second season has mostly worn out the premise already.

If they do Transmetropolitan. it better be filled with the piss, masturbation, shiats and pukes because it basically shows humans really don't change with the times.

Holding by the arms gives you the most possible torque to aim the laser eyes back and forth quickly.

So true.  Sometimes I get tricked into buying a run of his because in my senility I confuse him with Warren Ellis, and he'll hold up for the first few volumes before he has to give in to his apparent Fangoria fandom and start spraying blood and feces everywhere.  Ugh.

HAhahahah! I just saw your post, and I'M RELIEVED I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO DOES THIS!!  Transmet is a WARREN ELLIS comic, which is why it gets all the way through its run, earning the gross shiat but never overcommitting to gross-out the narrative.

I actually thought Season 1 was a great stopping point.

Nothing in Season 2 improved anything for me. I didn't feel like I learned anything about the characters or the world, none of the characters seemed to grow (for better or for worse).

We met a few new characters... But none of them did anything for me.

I'm not sure why it felt so flat but it was a slog to get through episodes, and they're have to do something a lot better to get me to watch a season 3. The Boys, for me, is not a premise that can skate or tread water.

I was referring to turning comics into TV shows like The Boys, and Y, the Last Man, and some of these comics have such disturbing content that those parts never make it to the screen... I'm wondering how they would do Crossed, which IS written by Garth Ennis.

It's not bad, but I think Invincible is the better take on superhero corruption.

maybe someday you will get to have sex without paying for it, and end up having a child of your own and you will have a clearer understanding of what I'm talking about.
or failing that you could study some human anatomy.

but if thats not enough for you, how about , they sculptors were to lazy to even get the scene from the show accurate. aren't these ridiculously over priced "collectables" supposed to be super accurate with attention paid to all details?
