    lulz.
  • Biscottis are tough on my teeth. They're made for dunking
  • Ancient Romans dipped hard, unleavened wafers into wine, Proust famously wrote about a dipped madeleine, and modern Australians participate in a snacking ritual called the "Tim Tam Slam" or "tea sucking."

Never heard of the Tim Tam slam before, but I have bitten the ends off a Twix before and used it as a straw for tea or coffee.

  • Where I went to college, the dining hall had these cookies maybe once every three weeks that were absolutely spectacular with orange juice. They were just yellowish drop cookies, and they didn't have a useful name. Maybe they were crack cookies.
  • Kahlua + OJ == tootsie roll. I've zfc how that works, but it's true.

classic Sundowner treat... hard biscuits + strong brandy. addictive AF, or as Vance wrote, "furtively gnawing" lol. also what iron de havilland said.

Its chocolate and orange , I can see how this would work.

seven or 8 years ago, I learned that rumpleminze & fireball together are an amazing shot.  Fire and Ice!

/Sorry about the next day though

oh, chocolate+orange is fine by me (I still like buying those festive/holiday dark chocolate smack-em-on-the-table orange-dealies lol) but norly this tasted exactly like a crizappy tootsie roll?

the state liquor stores around here were quite literally selling packs of rumchata and fireball shrinkwrapped together. not surprising at all how well that works, but also agreed the next day is going to really hurt.
  • I remember once discovering that Nilla wafers dunked in beer were pretty good...but I'd already had a fair amount of beer at the time, so ...YMMV

They'd be good with something like Great Lakes Blackout Stout, it's creamy and chocolaty and nutty, it goes great with chocolate cake and brownies but I bet it would work really well with Nilla wafers.
  • (I've also noticed that it dulls the some of the more synthetic flavors in mass-produced, pre-packaged cookies.)
Yes. Yes you have. But what about mayo?Orange juice is very ornery.A sentence I don't think I have ever seen in over 50 years... and I used to read a lot.
