It's worse than that. They didn't work for Samsung, they were subcontractors of a third party firm that had a contract with Samsung.
Samsung's support really is that bad. Bad enough that I plan to shiatpost about them even from the grave. Do not buy Samsung unless you want a truly infuriating support experience.
