And the weird thing is that Boom Studios is seemingly doing a multiverse thing with Buffy since they have the rights now. There are many reboots of different types.
And there's the "Buffy the Last Vampire Slayer" storyline that I showed above.
For me, the canonical story ends with the original comic finale. (Do not read this article if you don't want a spoiler summary.)
Can't we just have a single story, end it, and then start a different story rather then rehash old concepts? I know, I know. Hollywood wants guaranteed moneymakers rather than take risks on new things.
The season finale will be a remake of Hush were all the main characters die because they were unable to go 10min without hearing themselves talking about themselves.
Crazy Head had a chance to be decent, but flopped at the end and was only one season. Buffy/Angel holds up just fine without a Zoomer reboot. Now you kids get off my lawn.
Supernatural (under Kripke) was the spiritual successor to Buffy and Angel. It had the wit and humor to go with the drama. And it always felt more plausible that those monsters were able to stay "hidden from plain sight" since there were so few of each kind and spread so far apart. At least compared to hundreds of vampires clustering every year in a small town, or LA having an isolated solar eclipse that lasted two months...
Another underrated show along those lines is the BBC series Hex. I've been looking for an excuse to rewatch it.
Can we come up with a better name for that Generation that doesn't involve the letter Z. Given current world events, it would be like calling 1930s kids Generation Swastika.

Here, Xander is a whiny, kinda-incel guy who [SPOILERS].

OkieDookie: Cancelled after one season and written by a sexual predator?
That's the dark timeline version of "six seasons and a movie."

Jack Sabbath: It has Elizabeth Mitchell in it so I will give it a chance. I'd watch her read the U.S. tax code.

Isn't she like 80 in Zoomer years?

Yeah but she's playing a vampire here so she's immortal, which is how I see her.

Yup. This show looks more like Buffy filtered through CW and budgeted for Netflix.

iheartscotch: High school girls have crush on each other. One is all fangy and one is all stake-staby. Should be a pretty decent show.
