  • Because obsessing over Star Wars spin offs and Startrek qualify you as a nerd? I thought that was just being a fanboy and 'nerds' did cool shiat like figure out how to make a computer in Minecraft to play doom on, or hacked together a bunch of hardware components in some absurd way to make a box that automatically entertains cats just because they can, or some other actual technical related sh*t.

Thankfully we have Gawker network to clarify that for us.
  • There is a Jurassic's park show that is going on season 5 and I've never heard of it?  Your marketing sucks Netflix, I'm on your service like 5 times a week
  • I watched the first 2 seasons of The Boys and it is getting to the lets do outrageous things just for shock value instead of making the story better. This is very much like Garth Innis style (and Mark Millar) but sometimes less is better.

It's animated. About kids and for kids. Cardboard characters. I gave up during season 2.
  • Oh, f*ck you and the slideshow you rode in on, subby.

  • I swear Gizmodo articles are 60% ad space.

Jokes on you, in brought my own lunch.
With the crusts cut off the sandwich.

I mean it is a Garth Ennis comic, so I'd expect them to push the line as far as they can. I haven't kept up with the show though, is it fairly faithful?

It's faithful in the tone of the books but they did change some things. The actor who plays Homelander and the character is very good, best thing on the show.
  • I'm excited for new LEGO Masters. That's a fun show. No manufactured drama, just building neat shiat.
  • Meh. A lot of the these shows should have concluded with the last season. Hopper dying was the perfect, emotional ending for Stranger Things.  Really don't need any more West World.

Looking forward to Kenobi because E.M. was the best thing about the prequels and he was completely under used (of course). Though I'm a bit nervous how the production budget will be ga had the mini-series been a tent pole movie.

Zero interest in the new Game of Thrones. The show and books had their moment, and it's over.
  • i miss the old days when the nerd-dork-dweeb triple axis was a stand in for undiagnosed aspbergers/autism/various attention and hyperactivity disorders.

now nerd stuff is pretty much anything the marketing department says it is.

    /did not rtfa
    //why would i?
  • Weird that Amazon is doing another show about a portal opening up in the backyard of a rural area.

Outer Range was pretty good though so I'll give Night Sky a chance

It's about six teenagers trying to survive/escape Isla Nublar. My son (5) loves it and I know he'll be excited about more episodes.
It's not bad, more engaging than I thought it would be. Definitely one of the shows that I can watch with him and not hate every second that it's on.
  • I broke up with Iron Man
    Youtube HYG0jOCyYnw
  • I was raised to think I was a nerd, but I hate most of this and only got a engineering degree because I didn't know I was meant to be a business major with math smarts.
  • Eh, Nerd Cards are inferior to the Geek Code.

/ only one person has "++++++" in theirs, and it's not you
  • J.K. Simmons. Must have an exclusive contract with Prime Video.

Besides, he's already done a "portal" show in Germany for them.  Like a multi-verse type thing.
  • Clair Danes and Tom Hiddleston? I'm gonna need more lotion...
