KarmicDisaster: When did this "blood moon" thing start? I had someone ask me yesterday about the "blood moon" and it took me quite a while to figure out they were talking about the upcoming lunar eclipse and not some dumb name for a full Moon in May, I'm not sure they knew what a lunar eclipse was but they read some dumb article. Are we going to start calling solar eclipses "dark Suns" or something?

Russ1642: Stop with the naming of every full moon. They're all the same. If you want the moon to look huge you just need to see it next to the horizon. We don't name every sunrise and sunset like they're all special.
the names have been around for centuries at least. what's new is tabloids breathlessly hyping up every full moon with them
