Not sure how you manage to charge for kits when every damn store is trying to give them away for free (Walmart had about a dozen pallets of them the other day, I was handed several kits without asking).

Yep.
I can get them free through the government site, my insurance, or my local grocery store. I think I have 6 just sitting in my cabinet right now. You shouldn't be paying money for test kits. YMMV and all I suppose...
I ordered 16 kits from the USPS just last week. Second and third round for free kits are eight each. My wife has actually used one from the first batch, but we've had four shots each, so we'd probably never know if we did catch COVID-19. She just had a persistent cough.

I went to a local doc-in-the-box for a test after I had symptoms a few weeks back - no charge for testing. Then, this week I got a copy of the bill.
No charge to me, but they dinged my insurance company for about $600 in "administrative fees". Ballsy.

mmmm, I haven't seen that but I'd probably grab a few if free.
We've been lucky that our county health dept still has their satellite testing center in the mall open 7 days a week and we can get both types of nasal swap testing done for free. I feel more confident getting it done there because, hopefully, the staff there is better trained to swab correctly and the tests are legit.

They aren't free here, but cheap as hell. About $5 a pop. Need to get some more- my wife tested positive on Monday so I've been testing daily (work policy is you come in and work masked if exposed and you test negative).
Another online fraud with no reasonable way to report it. Whoever did this likely has another company already set up.
Countries like Canada, UK and Australia need to get together and come up with some laws to start seriously fining the big online retailers who don't have any reasonable way to even report fraud. If I give a vendor 1 star on ebay.com.au because their product is dangerous or illegal, the vendor just refunds my order and the one star rating goes away and other people get scammed.

That looks like the soft-core porn I used to watch on cable as a kid in the 80's

Notice that it's not the same test in the two pictures.
