They're asking people that normally vote Democratic Party to vote for her in the open primary. While hoping those same Democratic voters will also vote for her in the general election so they can keep the seat filled with someone that will vote the party line.

It's Wyoming. I would chortle if somehow she wins her Primary and enough Trump true believers sat out the election so that a Democrat won the Wyoming Senate seat.
