He was hoping for the one where Captain America F*CKS!

/Possibly the best stinger scene, thus far, for the MCU. Shulkie gets it done.
  • Having a massive, bloody on-screen list of kills that didn't seem to have any long term effects were why it's not that great.
  • I liked Strange 2...

I seem to be in the minority, but I'm ok with that.
Yeah, it had issues I guess, but it had a lot of cool shiat too...

    oh well.

Never thought much of Doctor Strange as a character, but his portrayal and presentation in the movies has been great.  Multiverse of Madness is far better than Thor: Love and Thunder.  I thought the humor in Ragnarok was a bit forced, but for whatever reason the writers and director went overboard with the humor in LaT.
  • I enjoyed Dr. Strange 2, couple things I wish they'd done differently (Wanda going Mortal Kombat not among them) but it was was easily the third best movie I've seen this year

/I've only seen four movies this year.
//Thor L&T, Everything Everywhere All At Once, and Prey being the others
///Thor was fine! It was fine.

    Welcome to the comics?
  • I liked Wanda better when we were pretending she was a hero.
  • Haven't seen Dr. Strange 2, as my wife insists that I could understand it without watching the Wanda TV series. I watched part of the first one, which gave me a flashback to the pathetic 1950s sitcoms. There wasn't anything else to watch back then, but why someone would subject themselves to such lameness today is baffling. She's a MCU maven and will forgive them anything I guess.
  • if only they used a fraction of the time they spent on that sequence and...hear me out...used it to write a good movie.

Naaahhhhh...just throw CGI shiat at the screen
  • Meh the whole Karmataj scene needed to be reworked. They are all masters of the arcane arts and was just a pew pew fest. So so stupid.

Spell casters should cast spells that do cool things not just be stand ins for lasers. I'm looking at you deathly hallows.

Avengers infinity saga showed Dr.S doing cool stuff. The scene from order of the Phoenix where Dumbledore and Voldemort have it out is them casting spells and counter spells.
    This is cool.

Blue beams vs red beams are not.

I liked it too. I had low expectations going in, and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

I suggest adding Barbarian and Pearl to your list. Both are awesome.
  • Nice to see that. Thanks for sharing subby!

I understand that Wandavision was her transition into villain territory, but it still felt like too large of an on screen shift from where the series left off and her actions in DS2. It felt like we had a complex character that was understandably devastated, and then BOOM! Disney villain.

A lot of folks have a wide range of issues with the latest Thor fil, but Bale seemed relatable in the way very few MCU villains have. For me, the threat to the kids alos felt more real after seeing Jojo Rabbit. I forgot for a moment that Disney would not have gone there in the MCU.

And hubiestubert, you are correct. Shulk is the answer to all the complaints about all the superhero content being repetitive. It's like sipping a nice cider after drinking stouts for years. I'm a fan.
  • I wasn't too into Strange 1, he was kind of wooden in portrayal. I liked his role in Infinity Wars much better, but I think it was mostly due to the interaction with Stark and Parker. I had high hopes for Strange 2, but ultimately I felt like it was a missed opportunity to do something cooler.

It was directed by Sam Raimi. Were you expecting anything else?

/ANDt we got Bruce Campbell into the MCU
  • That was not the multiple Scarlett Witch jello wrestling match I was expecting.

Well, I though we might get Spider Man Sam Raimi.  But we got full Evil Dead Sam Raimi, with alternate reality superheroes dying instead of skeletons.
  • NathanAllen: I liked Wanda better when we were pretending she was a hero.

The schtick of her wanting her imaginary babies to be real really needs to stop. At this point she's just a typical crazy chick from Jerry Springer but with super powers. Annoying and boring.

Why are so many people weirdly obsessed with Captain America having sex?

I don't think it's that many people. Again Twitter and social media isn't real life. And most of those people probably are doing it at least somewhat facetiously

My teen daughters loved the old sitcom episodes. They immediately bought in to the misunderstanding conceit of the B/W episode and had a blast.

The initial 3 episodes work together to set the story up, I recommend trying them out. It's a different kind of story than the movies are used to tell.

The sitcom episodes are due to Wanda retreating inside of herself and trying to deny the loss of Vision.  That's what sets her up as being The Big Bad in DS2.
