Maybe there will be an article about it, posted on Fark, for you to comment on.
  • Spellcheck, how does it work?
  • I really really tried to get our Sales and Marketing teams to rebrand internally as the S&M Team but no one has enough of a sense of humor to do it.

Our testing policy, procedure, and protocol reports were officially called TPS reports, because everyone involved in the approval chain for the name either got the joke and thought it was funny, or had never seen "Office Space" and thought that it was a perfectly reasonable thing to call a report.
  • Yeah, work emails will convince you that a whole lot of people should not have graduated grade school.  The worst is our HR guy... I can totally see why so much data gets entered wrong.

Don't get me wrong, everybody makes the occasional typo, everybody is probably using the wrong version of at least one identical sounding word, the last plant manager I had was actually pissed that nobody informed him he was using mourning where he should have used morning for years etc.

I mean I get the typos where you accidentally typed out the wrong word, but it's an actual word so spell check isn't going to catch it.  We had one line supervisor a year or so ago where all her emails had to have like 20 red underscores as she was sending them out.

He wasn't wrong. I'm sure most people were mourning the sweet embrace of a warm bed in the morning.
I think I'll start emails with Good Mourning? next week.
