FTFA "Since December, Wizz has paid all CCJs [county court judgements] where it received the judgment, and is continuing to work to settle all other outstanding claims as quickly as possible."
So their plan was "fark you, sue me" in the hopes that people wouldn't bother to go to the courts.
should have asked for punitive damages to add to it.
Salt consumers have spoken with their wallets repeatedly dedicatedly for decades and the only factor driving flight choice seems to be price.
We used to have nice things, but the race to the bottom cost necessarily lowers the quality of the product. Someday, maybe people will learn to pay for quality.
\In this instance, I'm glad the courts are doing their jobs and getting customers their due. Companies ignoring judgements are being idiotic.
I spend literally 9 hours on the phone last week to claim redeem the $5K in COVID-canceled Airline credit I was owed by United.
Credit was valid until dec. 2023, but United kept referring me to Expedia because that's who sold the original tickets. Expedia kept insisting me that it was too long ago and no longer in their computer so contact United.
I'm sure that the airlines and booking places are making countless millions of dollars in profits from people who simply throw up their arms in frustration and give up rather than receive what they've already paid for.

Rule No. 1 for flying, etc. Don't book with a third-party app. Instead, use them to find the best deal and book directly with that airline/hotel/car rental. When things go south, you get priority treatment.
I got the last seat out during a pending snowstorm because I had booked with the airline and the guy next to me went with Expedia or whomever. The agent even said since I booked with them, I was considered their customer and not a third-party customer.

This struck me as one of the most British things I've ever read:
The way customers have been treated by Wizz Air has been "shocking, shambolic and shoddy", Mr Quirk, a property expert from Brentwood, in Essex, told the BBC.

It would be more British had they mentioned the boffins who engineered the system.

I know a librarian who sued a junk fax sender who ignored the judgement until he had the cops take their company plane.

There's your problem. Never use third parties if there's the slightest chance of something going awry.
