I remember being a kid and seeing the listing for the first special in TV Guide. Nearly shiat my pants I was so excited. Then I watched the thing. I think I was, like the writer of this article, trying to look past the copious amount of cheese, so excited I was that some of my favorite comic characters were on TV. But nothing could have prepared me for the follow-up roast the next week. I remember sitting there wondering what the hell I had just seen and why there were no action or fight scenes. It was then, at 8 years old, I learned to hate Hollywood.
You kids today have it so much better. /adjusts onion belt
ArkAngel:Anyone else remember the Justice League movie from the late 90's.
It included David Ogden Stiers (AKA Major Charles Emerson Winchester III) as the fattest Martian Manhunter ever
It wasn't a movie but an unaired pilot. There are tons of bootlegs of it floating around and you can find it chopped up on Youtube as well. Sort of like the Electra Woman and Dynagirl reboot pilot the WB shot with Markie Post as Electra Woman. Part 1 (new window)
Apos:Dumb-Ass-Monkey: I have this, the terrible JLI movie, and the Star Wars Holiday Special all on DVD.
I might possibly be a li'l masochistic...
A little masochistic? This is mental self-flagellation to the nth degree, dude.
but I'm also sadistic. I've sent out at least 20 copies of the SWHS every year for the last few years with my Christmas cards. I'mma spread the misery!!

Sybarite: Holy crap! It wasn't just a fever-induced dream.
THIS!
The memory of this atrocity has been stuck in my unconcious for years, perhaps that explains all the alcohol and restraining orders.

Unfriggingbelievable! I swear I thought I was the only man alive that remembered this.

I remember a live-action Justice League mini-series that aired in the early 80s, but was pre-empted twice by a stupid basketball game.
All I remember about it is that Hawkman was pretty buff.

Yikes! This looks campier than a SyFy monster flick.
