Couple of sandwiches short of a full deck.
  • I'm anxious for other states to see how well this works and change their laws accordingly...

  • Not the sharpest crayon in the box.
  • The cops are gonna go into overdrive trying to get as many arrests in as they can before the deadline, because to a cop, pot busts are BETTER THAN SEX.
Then, next year, they'll just put more radar units on the road to keep themselves busy harassing everyone.

Didn't they just excuse 220 pot arrests in Washington?
  • I have to wonder if this burnout even voted; that seems like something that may take some planning, reading, et cetera that he's demonstrably incapable of.

But, to answer Steve Doocy's "potted up" hypothetical: this suspect was also charged with DUI.

It's almost like they're trying to enforce a speed limit. How dare they infringe on your right to drive like an asshole.

Driving like an asshole isn't remotely like using marijuana. The former harms others on the roadway; the latter only affects the user.

And the "driving high is extremely safe" can of worms has been opened....

  • Pot Smokers/Stoners -

You are being watched by the locals and people in other states. If you want this to spread, you better be polite about how you behave when you smoke. The fewer problems there are, the more this will spread. If you act like a bunch of asshats about it, the ban will be reinstated.
  • More importantly, how do I go about scoring weed in Brekenridge this March? I figure that by then a small industry will spring up to service the legions of wintersports guests. Will I be able to just buy some at the crepe stand down the street from our condo?

Not the sharpest tree on the farm.

/Friend of mine said that once and it took both of us a few minutes to realize it wasn't quite right.

Actually they threw out 220 cases in King county alone and announced that they aren't enforcing possession laws now

I can't believe people still don't get this. It just blows my mind... you fight for something, and then when you finally win, you blow it by being an idiot about it...

Except for the studies that have shown experienced marijuana users show no impairment and even drive more cautiously when stoned.

Also, they arrested the driver for another warrant and made everybody else walk home. Harsh.

    4/10 to Matrix

    Right here.
I'm in Colorado and I voted for the amendment. Not that I smoke, but because I'm for less government involvement.
And if the a$$hats start smoking in public (they do already), I'll be the first person to vote against it in 2 years. Hopefully they'll use some common sense, but there are alot of hippies here (the worthless 20-something ones, not the peace-loving type) and they like to think they're 'edgy' and will surely fark this up.
