  • God that Wish Upon a Hero site is depressing. Even more depressing to think about how many of the sob stories on there are complete bullshiat.

  • Damn. Fark is farking cold today. This girl (woman, whatever) just lost both of her parents and has to take care of her brothers and sisters. Yes, it happens every day to people. Yes, it happens to people who are worse off than she is. Yes, not everyone in this situation gets 50K in donations.

But every one of these sudden parental losses is tragic, and it's mean to say her pain is so much less than someone else's because of her lucky coincidence of birth. The pain of losing both parents is still pain, and the worry about taking care of minor siblings is still worry.

Some of you need to grow up.
  • If only someone would have warned them that a storm was coming and it probably wasn't a good idea to be driving around for non-essential puproses.

But hey, I'm a white male with a master's degree in business accounting. Nothing bad could ever happen to me. Have fun growing up without parents kids! When you put the Father's Day card on my grave, please make sure it's addressed to irresponsible nitwit so that I'm sure to get it.

Love (maybe we shouldn't go that far),
    Dad

    Freezing.

It shows remarkable maturity and grace that she "closed" her wish even though people wanted to keep giving in order to urge them to donate to other families in need.
  • She ought to blow it all on blow. That stuff really makes you feel good.

  • I was led to believe that fifty thou could be exchanged for a lot of beer.
  • That's impossible. I have been assured again and again that $250k a year is all servants, caviar for breakfast and private jets.

  • $50,000.oo is indeed a small amount when divided amoung the care and feeding of 4 people, but it is a good start.

I hope she plans out a budget, and considers some investments so some of that money can keep making a little more money down the road.
  • 50K ain't squat thanks to ObamaCareTM. I wipe my ass with $100 bills.
