The Beatings Will Continue Until Morale Improves: THANKS EBOLA
Benevolent Misanthrope: what_now: Ebola isn't your worry. It's spread by contact with blood and spit, not by air. Plus, it has such a high death rate that it clears out its host before it can really spread.I have no doubt that there are 6 morons who should be banned from Web MD who insisted on having an Ebola case.We were discussing that in another thread recently - the fact that this particular outbreak seems to be seeing a 65% or so death rate is more worrying than the usual "OMG Dead, dead, SO dead" Ebola outbreaks. There's more time for it to spread, and I'm not at all sure how long a non-symptomatic person remains a vector for transmission after recovery. Not that I'm worried, but... well, it's not good.
SnakeLee: 6 people were tested for Ebola because they are hypochondriacs and the news media is panicking everyone for ratings
Marcus Aurelius: Ebola is rather difficult to contract without contacting the bodily fluids of an Ebola patient.
wildcardjack: James!: Meanwhile, people in Williamsburg are coming down with cases of Bird Flu. Retro.I only have authentic 1918 Swine Flu.
Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: What the fark is going on in Africa if Ebola is so difficult to contract??
OtherLittleGuy: El Dudereno: fusillade762: Rev.K: Is it still cool to have SARS?I had the Black Death before it was cool.I have smallpox, ironically.I have girls cooties.
Joe Peanut: NY Post. The print edition of Fox News NYC.Mt. Sinai has already confirmed the patient who was displaying some of the symptoms does not have ebola. They still don't know what the person has, but ebola has been ruled out.
OtherLittleGuy: That does it. I'm getting a crossbow for me and a kitana for the missus.
