  • "I was in a van with Hugh Jackman and the Hemsworths" made me lol.
  • That wasn't magic.
  • Subby: How'd he do that?

Answer: It was in the script, obviously.

    / well done, but still
// real card magic: The Master At Work, Ricky Jay
  • Well, that's 4:31 of my life I'll never get back.

Aww, I liked it. But yeah, not magic, obviously scripted.
  • The woman was in on it. Duh.

    Bet you can't, Bruce.
  •
    gee subby, I wonder how.
  • I may be alone here, but when I see a video of a magic trick which, every two and a half seconds, does a cut'n'switch to another angle from another jittery camera, I don't bother watching.
  • That was pretty easy.  He didn't see what she wrote, but he didn't have to, as the camera saw.

So they printed the masks and stuck tape on the shirts and adjusted the lyrics to match why he delayed with the "there is no way I could have known" spiel.

The trickiest part was having the right Australian celebrities lined up to match what she was likely to say.  They had an out though; if she didn't pick someone available then they would have just used the masks.
  • Onlookers had different card face fold outs and based on what she chose is how they unfolded the card part and which card face fold out they brought up to the dance.

Professional artist writes the number on the banner out of view in an alley then brings it with him to the dance while magician stalls long enough to let him write it out from the camera feed the cameras were sending him but only AFTER the person picked a celebrity they had in the van waiting.

The celebrity was them doing this trick on random people until someone picked they picked someone in the van.  But they didn't show you the failures
  • Oh and the onlookers had shirts with different numbers under their own shirts and arrainged themselves and removed their shots based on the number picked
  • It would have been netter if he hadn't used his mother for the mark.

    But with like "MAGIC!"
  • Better, too.
  • The "magician" didn't guess any of the information off of the card, but she showed it to "the camera" more than a minute before the crowd showed up.  Even if done in real time there is no close magic.
  • Magician's card trick is truly, seriously, mind-blowing

    1) No, it isn't.
    2) Improper use of a hyphen.
    3) Still linking to other people's links to articles? EABOD, subby.

Why are you guys coming up with such complicated explanations when the simplest is likely the real one: the woman was in on it from the start.
  • the same way they brought Jon Snow back from the dead.
  • Money.
  • Weak, slowly developing stunt.  No redeeming qualities.

    Because its not.
The simplest, most likely explination is that people are easy to manipulate.
She didn't "choose" anything.  She simply wrote down the things he was telling her to write.
    Watch it again.

Point out the parts of the video where he told her to write 47509 and Rove. Please give timestamps.
