An adopted semi-Midwesterner still trying to wipe the stench of Long Island from my body (though I still love "The City," as every poseur must). Attempting to sort out this thing called adulthood as only six years ago I was running from cops and tear gas either away from warehouse raves or political protests and now I'm engaged and have just bought my first house. Still have a chip on my shoulder growing up a literate Pinoy in the midst of predominantly white, overprivileged lack-wits. I must be mellowing a bit, however, as violence is my third or fourth reaction these days rather than my first. I've a voracious appetite for conversation, and scotch.
